I don’t like ceiling fans; but in this environment they are useful. But – virtually every fan on the market is ugly. Some (like the one in our old kitchen) are *hideously* ugly. I found this one for the living room – designed to look just like an aircraft propeller, made of real wood:
It uses a DC motor, too, so it’s basically silent. For the bedroom we just got this one – it has a lamp, but the lamp is *above* the fan blades, first time I’ve seen that done.
