Day 18
Detail work…. concrete front porch and rear patio are poured separately from everything else. (So is the driveway, but that comes much later). Winter
Thanksgiving week, so not much house progress. Went for a drive up in the mountains – still some snow, but most of it has melted (65 degrees in town, over 40 at 8,000 feet). Lots of deer, probably avoiding hunters (this was in a National Forest, so hunting is tightly controlled).

Pouring the floor…. labor intensive, but so much less work than putting in a basement. It was supposed to rain in the afternoon, so they started at 7 AM and were working quickly to get it in and level before then. (It ended up not raining – not more than about 10 drops – so …
