Looks great once installed, though. There’s a big overhang for bar stools.
The tile + fan over the stove worked out pretty well. Doesn’t show here, but the upper cabinets have about 34 inches between them for a 30 inch stove – so there’s clearance between the fan and the cabinets, and the wood doesn’t get as much steam from cooking.
Fireplace is almost complete – just needs the mantle – but the bench is in. My bet is that will be a popular spot for cats this winter.
